For those wanting to know where the melody from the generic 'Borderline' introduction at the start of each kill video comes from, the song is Maor Levi - Lital.
Tier 7
Sartharion Three Drakes - HeroicStatus: ReadyLink: Sartharion3D.avi (514MB)
Song: Wavetraxx - A New DayComments: This was a second recording of the Sartharion Three Drakes fight, with a whole new UI (those of you which saw the Sunwell videos will notice a huge improvement). There isn't much to say about this video, it's all clear on the video.
Sartharion Three Drakes - NormalStatus: ReadyLink: Sartharion3D-10.avi (589MB)
Song: DJ Merlin and DJ C-Bass - The Human SpiritComments: This is very similar to the Sartharion Three Drakes heroic fight, nothing much has changed. I only made this video since it is the only hard mode fight which is harder in normal mode than it is in heroic. I was hit by a void zone, which is the result of trying to keep everything in camera while trying to do everything else.
Sartharion Three Drakes Speed KillStatus: ReadyLink: Sartharion3D-10Speed.avi (140MB)
Song: Breeze and UFO - Take Your TimeComments: This is our rendition of the Sartharion Three Drakes speed kill on heroic difficulty. It was recorded by Cosmo, apologies in advance for the UI change. I particularly like the intro on this one. It's not flashy, but when I dropped the Sartharion video, that meteor hit the ground nicely when the crash cymbol hit. You will see what I mean when you watch the video. P.S. Ghost can't taunt!
Malygos Six MinutesStatus: ReadyLink: Malygos6min.avi (407MB)
Song: Nish - SagittariousComments: I quite like this video. It's my personal favourite out of everything I've done so far through Sunwell. I did, however, forget the pet frames to heal in phase 3. I showed the name plates briefly, but hid them again because I wanted a clear video. Thankfully, it didn't ruin the try, and the phase 3 execution was clear. Enjoy!
Tier 8
Yogg-Saron All KeepersStatus: ReadyLink: Yogg-Saron.avi (786MB)
Song 1: Escay - AstralSong 2: Technikal - OverdriveComments: This video shows both inside and outside of the brain to give a clear view of how the fight should be executed. The melee were a little slow on the second brain passing since we got a second crusher up, but only minimal. I don't know why the video freezes for a second after the first brain passing is over, it just does. I also apologize for turning the camera in phase 3. I keyboard turned back to keep the view on Yogg-Saron as much as I could, but sometimes you just have to use the mouse =P. Anyway, hope this video helps you tactically somewhat, and enjoy! Note: You may be wondering what the hell I was doing at 10:40. It was a failed shadowfiend attempt.
Hodir Three MinutesStatus: ReadyLink: Hodir3Minutes.avi (229MB)
Song: Alphazone - SunriseCommentary Track: Hodir3Minutes.mp3Comments: Not really much to see here, and due to all the snow it can be hard to make out what's going on. As you can see we lose a player at 75% meaning the majority of the fight was done with 24 players, which is why we came extremely close to the 3 minute mark. Oh yeah, and I really space out at the last 10% and take a flash freeze. I was announcing the timer so we knew whether to stop DPS or not, and when I looked back I saw the Flash Freeze and ran around like a headless chicken, so there's some laughs for you.
Thorim and SifStatus: ReadyLink: ThorimAndSif.avi (478MB)
Song: Ayla - AngelfallsCommentary Track: ThorimAndSif.mp3Comments: Not a great video in my opinion. There are two reasons why. First of all, my positioning was designed to make camera work as hard as possible, meaning 1/4 of the video is taken up by a nice empty balcony. Second, we lacked DPS. We were about 10% behind on DPS, and tanks start getting one shotted by Thorim. But as stated in the commentary, if your tanks die, you can get at least 15% off him when the tanks die if you keep going and retain your positions, maybe even more. Enjoy!
XT-002 Deconstructor HeartbreakerStatus: ReadyLink: XTHeartbreaker.avi (505MB)
Song: Vincent De Moor - Fly AwayCommentary Track: XTHeartbreaker.mp3Comments: This fight is relatively easy, but offers little room for errors, especially in the spark and healing areas. I had several songs to choose from, and I took this one because I believe it sounds the most robotic. Not much to say here, if you want more information about the tactic we are using, you can download the commentary. The one thing I forgot to mention on the commentary was the epic melee gravity bomb. You will know when you see it. That's all, enjoy!
SteelbreakerStatus: ReadyLink: Steelbreaker.avi (355MB)
Song: Sambo - MezmerizeCommentary Track: Steelbreaker.mp3Comments: First of all, I apologize for the camera angle in P2, I was watching for the taunt on Steelbreaker since the taunt was resisted, but I did capture the raid spread which I felt was fair enough (Stormcaller is a bit boring to look at). The song fits better than I thought, I lined it up to fit with when the lightning hit Steelbreaker when P3 started and I was surprised to find it actually fits the transition from P2 better, since the lightning seems to cause interference with the song, which I found pretty funny when I first saw it because it was accidental. Anyway, there's alot to explain about the tactic, and it's all in the commentary, so download that for more information. I was a bit lazy with the introduction on this one, the next one should be a bit more creative than a plug and play Vegas effect.
Vezax Saronite AnimousStatus: ReadyLink: VezaxAnimous.avi (554MB)
Song: Lab 4 - The NRGCommentary Track: VezaxAnimous.mp3Comments: While phase 3 was pretty messy, this kill turned out pretty nice (Though it took 2 minutes longer than I had planned in advance), and the fact that people died in phase 3 allowed us to show something really important (as noted on the commentary). Introduction is a bit shitty again, but thats mainly because I had a choice between a 5 second intro or a 1 minute intro based on the music spikes. There's to much to say really, it's all in the commentary track if you're interested on what's happening in the video. Sorry for the yell bubbles that keep appearing to the left of the video. I turned them off, but my game crashed and they turned themselves back on without me noticing.
Mimiron FirefighterStatus: ReadyLink: MimironFirefighter.avi (628MB)
Song: Sean Tyas - MelbourneCommentary Track: MimironFirefighter.mp3Comments: There is really too much to say about the fight, so just watch the video. If you want more information, listen to the commentary aswell. I will note a few things. I mentioned that the emergency bots have the ability to clear every fire in the room, but forgot to mention that in this try not enough spawned which is why the fire remained (therefore the emergency bots caused us more trouble than if they were dead, but we left them alive every try simply because they can make P4 so easy). The 20 seconds we gained in P3 were pointless since the kill was at 9:40. I also didn't mention the reason we don't chain cores in P3. It is simply because it ends up being equal to not chaining due to the melee downtime when waiting for the second bot, and the lost DPS from having ranged on the head full time. Whether we chained the cores or not, we would have gotten it down in 3 stuns. Maybe it would have saved a bit of time, but it was hardly worth it, since chaining cores increase the chances of there being fire near you for the second stun and you will be silenced. Anyway, this is getting too long, just go watch!
Freya Three EldersStatus: ReadyLink: Freya3Elders.avi (580MB)
Song: Liquitech - Angels in the SkyCommentary Track: Freya3Elders.mp3Comments: This fight was so demanding pre-patch, and we spent night after night on it (If you ever wondered why our progress went dead after Vezax, it's because we were training on this for a reset, then moved to do Mimiron since Mimiron is much easier to pull off). Upon killing Mimiron, we came here after the patch, and nailed it so quickly. There were many mistakes in the video that can be seen, mostly damage. If any of those players who ended up below 20% health were at a pre-patch Freya fight, they would have died. We were close to killing Freya before we moved to Mimiron anyway, but our tries felt fruitless. Anyway, the fight was very easy to nail after all the pre-nerf practice, and in fact ALL of our wipes that night were due to people complaining about the beams being impossible to see (which is not true, it was just an excuse to cover up their fail of course!). Anyway, listen to the commentary also, I mention several important things key to getting this fight with ease (mainly noting the changes with the patch, since apparently the nerfs were stealth, so you many not know them already). Enjoy!
